The new iPoint Compliance Agent (iPCA) REACH Letter module supports you especially in fulfilling the legal requirements of the European chemicals regulation REACH, Article 33, by the click of a mouse.
Article 33 contains a ‘right to know’ provision, where consumers can ask manufacturers if their product contains any Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) and how to use the product safely.
Once an end consumer has sent an information request, suppliers have a legal obligation to provide the information within 45 days and free of charge.
For this reason several smartphone apps now make it easy for consumers to request information about SVHCs and safe use by simply scanning a product’s barcode. As aresult this new option has significantly increased the number of such product information requests for companies.
Create a REACH Letter from different iPCA modules
The new iPCA module enables you to create a REACH Letter or certificate as required by Article 33 from different iPCA modules like Parts Inventory or Virtual Product Models. In short you can quickly create reports by using the data already present in your systems.
In addition it assists you with a flexible management of templates and provides multi-language support. Furthermore, you can extend the module to include Safe Use Information, allowing users to import a file with evaluations of products and include them in the REACH letter as special chapter.

The new module is available for both versions of the iPoint ComplianceAgent, iPCA IMDS for the Automotive industry as well as iPCA SAM-M for all other industries.
